I checked out the loan and the interest is not too bad giving that this is a second mortgage that gives money for repairs and pay offs. The only thing I see is that it eats up all the equity and we will need to live in our home for at least 15 years before trying to sell…so that alone is the biggest decision. I am just wondering if there is anything else I should be looking for???

My ex has the house. The only collaterol I have is some IRA’s that have double the value as my debt.
What alternatives are out there? What do you suggest?
I have great credit, pay on time, not behind. I am wanting to get a home within a year, but will not be able with such a large debt. This monkey on my back is stifiling.

Sometimes the only option for my prospects is Bankruptcy or Debt Consolidation. Now as a Credit Consultant my job is to restore and maintain a squeaky clean credit report so it kills me to send them off to file BK or consolidate their debt however it’s their only option. I prefer a non-profit in the Central Valley, CA (because that’s where my office is located) who can offer these services and become part of my referral directory.
