For the students that are suffering these defaults on their loan payments, their credit scores suffer immensely, and so does their financial future.
When you default on a student loan, the Government has a right to seize their money back in any means that they deem necessary. Most of the time a person that defaults will notice their income tax payments will be lower, or they will simply not get one at all until the loan has been rectified.
